Flight Instructor (C-Cat)

If you already have a Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) the addition of a C Category Instructor rating will allow you to teach other people to fly.  It also allows you to be paid to do it and at the same time build hours as a commercial pilot.

The first step is a Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL).  If you have that and want to be an instructor or want to build hours as an instructor them we can assist you.

The rating is a worthwhile addition to your ratings as a commercial pilot and is not difficult to complete.

Our C Category Programme aims to provide you with the skills and knowledge necessary to achieve a C Category flight Instructor rating which will entitle you to exercise the C Category Flight Instructor privileges provided for by CAANZ in New Zealand.

What we provide

Theory and flying requirements for a C Category Flight Instructor Rating.

Flight Instructor theory requirements including:

• Flight Instructional Techniques
• Legislation
• Principles of Flight (aeroplane)
• Meteorology
• Cross country navigation techniques

Practical flying and flight test for C Category Flight Instructor;

In flight exercises including pre and post flight briefings

Practical Flight instruction

Entry requirements

To be eligible for entry to this programme, applicants must;

• Hold a current Commercial Pilot Licence
