Agricultural Pilot
Agricultural aviation had its beginnings in New Zealand and has developed into a world class industry.Started by WW2 pilots returning from combat flying utilising converted military fighters, bombers and trainers, the industry now uses purpose designed and built aircarft delivering a wide range of precisely measured agrichemicals and fertilisers. Both spraying and fert spreading are the core of the Ag pilot's work, requiring a dedication to accuracy and effectiveness, The days of pouring huge quantities of product on are well and truly over. While the number of aircraft has reduced significantly, there is still strong demand for suitably motivated and qualified pilots who are prepared to start in support roles and get their hands dirty. Our Commercial Pilot Licence and NZ Diploma in Aviaition (General Aviation) provide great launching platforms for a career in Ag Flying. |
